After Jez Strode left the group before the recording of their last album, they officially shortened their name to Kaja, releasing one more album under this moniker.

Whatever happened to Kajagoogoo?
Beggs has gone on to be a well-respected musician and world-renowned bassist as he continues to perform regularly. Nick: I knew at the age of 15 that I wanted to be a pro-player.Quivering firestorm egg drop rate
I turned professional at 20 and moved to London with Kajagoogoo in on signing our deal with EMI. I bought the Doctor Who theme as a 45 rpm single and played it to death.
I still have it. I used to play drums along to them. However the biggest influence came when I heard Close to the Edge by Yes. It was at that point I knew I wanted to do that for a living. Chris Squire became my bass hero. Nick: I knew all of them from our home town. They were older than me and played in bands that I would go and see in the locality. I looked up to them as a younger aspiring player.
Limahl was found after we held auditions for a front man. Nick: To make a living. So we had two bands. The other was earlier Art Nouveau and later called Kajagoogoo. Nick: I came up with it and it was voted as a cool name at the time. I just pulled it out of the air actually.Fotografie de produs brasov
Would it have been more successful another way or not at all? Nick: Yes, after I dropped out of art school and my Mum died. I had to support my sister and run a house. I always was and still am a pragmatist. Nick: Limahl ran into Nick at a London night Club and gave him our demo. Yes, we all were Duran Duran fans.
It was a very important contribution actually. Colin and Nick did a great job. Nick: I thought of the chorus and what became the second verse and sang them to Limahl. He responded instantly to it. We then developed the arrangement with the guys.Aamer gave it his best, but only two of the original members made it to the one-night only reunion.
The bassist from Kajagoogoo and some session musicians filled in the space for an enjoyable concert. Although Frankie Goes To Hollywood members were brought together in the program studio, they did not go to the reunion for one time performance. I actually fired-up the turntable and gave The Alarm's "Declaration" a spin for the first time since Ronald Reagan ruled! Great idea for a throwaway series and network.
VH-1 seems to have scrapped the "Behind The Music" overkill, and tapped into endless 80's nostalgia, which is OK by me, but I'm sure will get old in a hurry as well. In the meantime, it's kind of refreshing to see one-time music stars slugging it out out day-to-day like the rest of us after the glitter is gone. I especially enjoyed seeing a guy from Dramarama driving a road grater and some guy in The Alarm working in an office.
Their candor about getting on with life seems just a bit more realistic than all the interviews we see and hear from the survivors of the LA glam metal scene. The Top 10 songs in the U.Bands Reunited was a television program produced by VH1 in Hosted by Aamer Haleemthe show documented an attempted reunion of a formerly popular musical group for a special concert in either London or Los Angeles.
A show normally consisted of the crew first hunting down the ex-members of the band often first in a ruse one-by-one, and convincing them to agree for the one-time concert; the members were "contracted" by signing a record album by their former band. The band members were then interviewed, usually focusing on the reasons of their disbandment. The final segment would consist of the formal reunion of the band in the rehearsing studio, and a joint interview about why the group parted ways.
If the reunion was successful, the episode ended with the final performance. InVH1 attempted to reunite the British band the Smithsbut the show abandoned its attempt after Aamer Haleem was unsuccessful in his attempt to corner lead singer Morrissey before a show.
The artificial and invasive nature of the reality show, as well as the contractual arrangements behind it, have been criticized. Kurt Harland of Information Society detailed his own negative experiences with the program, and how his experiences differed from the portrayal of events as broadcast, on his website ; citing examples of misinformation, poor background research and manipulation from the show's production crew, regarding the show to have been more interested in sensationalising his band's breakup than a genuine reunion.
